FASHION SHOW |
The
3rd Annual celebration of the “Artistry
of Balloon Fashion,” will take place on
Tuesday Evening August 10th, 2010 in the Showroom,
Sam’s Town LIVE. Invited Master Designers
will each present three (3) fashion creations
for your viewing. Additional talented designers
will each create two (2) designs for presentation
in the Designer’s Showcase.
In 2010, we will add new opportunities for dress
designers to show their talent and creativity.
In addition to the competition for “Top
Fashion Designer,” we have added a new competition,
“Aspiring Fashion Designer,” for those
who are 18 years of age or younger. Once again
we will have the “Debut Fashion Designer”
category giving recognition to those designers
who have not as yet presented their ideas and
fashion creations to the Industry.
This year’s competition will be divided
into two categories: Fashions made from inflated
balloons and those made from un-inflated balloons.
Each creation may be accessorized,. however, the
fashion must be made of at least 90% balloon product.

While the Master and Showcase Designers present
at the show by invitation, anyone is welcome to
be a part of the competitions and “First
Timers Debut Fashion Designer” group.
Entry into the Fashion Show is simple. Just complete
the questionnaire below and email it to us before
July 1st, 2010. There is NO entry fee to enter
the competitions. The only requirements to enter
the show is that you must have a registration
to either Diamond Jam or Summer Balloon Camp,
design a fashion in good taste and non-offensive
to a general audience and arrange for your own
product. For some of this years events, supporting
Manufacturers will offer product if requested.
In 2009 the Balloon Couture Fashion Show received
international coverage on the NBC Today Show.
It has created interest from balloonists around
the world and in 2010 we expect several new
designers to be joining the show. The Today
Show coverage has made the general public aware
of the artistry involved in creating Fashions
from balloons. The show raised the awareness,
for the public, of the talents and creativity
that exists in our industry. We have already
started working on coverage for the 2010 show
and will have television and fashion magazine
coverage at the show. |
