Hi-Float added to Balloon Camp Product Showcase.
Hi-Float has joined the Balloon Camp supporting manufacturers showing the newest products available to you. Keith and Carrie Burchette will be in the BRC’s Product Showcase to show Campers all the possibilities that are available with the use of Hi-Float.

Linda Kiss is confirmed to teach at Summer Balloon Camp.
Anagram is introducing their new foil shapes that can add a new dimension to the creative elements of any décor and Linda will show them all in classes Monday and Tuesday. The new Anagram shapes were designed and created by Christopher Horne to help decorators add the WOW factor to any decoration. Linda is one of the top decorators and teachers in our industry so don’t miss this opportunity to learn how you can increase your sales and increase your customers satisfaction.

Flowers and Balloons come together once again in a special Sunday seminar at Balloon Camp.
Caroline Rohrer, Camp’s resident floral designer, will be holding her hands on seminar open to all Balloon Camp and Diamond Jam attendees. This popular seminar is held in response to many requests from Campers who want to explore the combining of Flowers and Balloons to increase their customer services. Carolyn will be covering the basics of floral design, the handling of flowers and the excitement that can be created by adding flowers to any balloon centerpiece. This workshop will be held Sunday August 17th from 9 AM until Noon. There is a $10 materials cost, collected at the door, and those attending will receive product samples and extensive notes with recipes for various designs relating to several themes. An email to dave@ballooncamp.com will secure your place in this informative fun workshop jam packed with ideas and moneymakers.
Carolyn will also be teaching a Holiday Floral with Balloons class on Monday at Balloon Camp and Centerpiece class on Tuesday.

Guido Verhoef and Rie Hosokai Coming To Balloon Super Show in August.
Betallic Balloons has confirmed they will be bringing Guido Verhoef and Rie Hosokai to the 2008 Summer Balloon Camp and Diamond Jam 2008.5 Balloon Super Show. Guido will be designing and building the décor for the Monday night Summer Balloon Camp party and teaching a Link-O-Loon class on Tuesday and Wednesday. Rie will be teaching a weaving class at Diamond Jam and designing Balloon Dresses for the first American presentation of Balloon Couture Fashions, taking place on Sunday August 17th. Both artists will be available to attendees throughout the events.

First U.S. Balloon Couture Fashion Show Coming To Las Vegas Balloon Super Show in August.
You’ve seen them in pictures, on Balloon HQ and You Tube, now see them in person at the first U.S. presentation of “Balloon Couture Fashions - A Celebration of the ARTISTRY of Balloon Fashion.” The show will be held at the Diamond Jam® 2008 & ½ and 2008 Summer Balloon Camp® "Balloon Super Show" in Las Vegas this August. Produced by Summer Balloon Camp®, the Fashion Show will feature one of a kind fashions designed by many of the top Balloonists in the world. The fashion Show will be directed by Guido Verhoef with designers like Ori Livney. Many international artists and designers are expected to compete for the prestigious "Top Fashion Designer" Award.

The Fashion Show will be held during the Sunday crossover day, August 17th between Diamond Jam® 2008 & ½ and the 2008 Summer Balloon Camp®. Registrants of either event, and the crossover day, will be eligible to design a fashion to compete in the show-using product from the manufacturer of their choice. Those wishing to compete must register their intention no later than June 1, 2008 and request the product they require to complete the design. Tickets for the event will be available for guests of registrants of the events.

Ed Chee's Diamond Jam to preceed Summer Balloon Camp at The Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Ed Chee’s Diamond Jam is coming to Summer Balloon Camp complete with all the activities and competitions Twisters and Entertainers have come to enjoy.

Diamond Jam and Summer Balloon Camp have joined forces to offer the most complete “Fun Educational Experience” available to the Balloon industry. Scheduled to take place on the days prior to the 2008 Summer Balloon Camp, with crossover days of classes and gatherings, the 2008 event will offer everything that has made Diamond Jam such a success. Rather than have to wait 18 months for the next Diamond Jam, Twisters, Entertainers, Magicians and Performers will have the chance to attend Diamond Jam 2008 & ½ in August of this year in Las Vegas. Diamond Jam 2009, and in the years to come, will combine with Summer Balloon Camp and both activities will be run in Las Vegas. The joining of the two major industry events will offer all Balloonists and entertainers the opportunity of learning from each other and taking classes from some of the top professional teachers in the industry. Decorators, Twisters, Deco-Twisters, Entertainers, Clowns, Retailers and all who work in this extraordinary industry will have the chance to see the products available to them from the major Manufacturers and over 30 distributors from around the world. In a short time the new Diamond Jam web site will be available with all the information about the offerings, classes and instructors at the convention.

Qualatex announces CBA testing and International QBN meeting times for 2008 Summer Balloon Camp.
Once again candidates for the Certified Balloon Artist designation will have the opportunity of testing their skills to receive certification at the 2008 event. CBA testing will take place on Sunday August 17th from 9:00 AM till 1:00 PM at the new host hotel The Orleans Hotel & Casino. Those wishing to take the test must call Qualatex (800-999-5644) to make arrangements for taking the test. A meeting of the International QBN chapters will be held during Camp on Sunday August 17th at 5:00 PM. All chapter members and those interested in receiving information, or joining a chapter, are invited to attend.

New Competitions For 2008 Summer Balloon Camp®.
Competitions at Balloon Camp are expanding. We’ve consulted with several balloon professionals and rewritten the rules to help more people compete and still enjoy the full Balloon Camp experience. We’ve added new categories and for the first time at Balloon Camp we have given the competitions a theme. On Monday night at our Balloonville County fair party every Camper will have the chance to vote for their favorite. Balloonists from around the world will have a chance to vote on Balloon HQ and for the first time Summer Balloon Camp will award a ‘DESIGNER OF THE YEAR”.
